2022 will prove to be an exciting time for the Sixth Form at The Halley Academy with the expansion of our Football Academy that uses a UEFA qualified coaching body.
Our students take advantage of the services provided by APD (Advance Player Development), an organisation created to support young people develop their own football skills and investigate the football industry to examine possible career pathways. Students benefit from a range of additional opportunities such as coaching younger years and complete their FA coaching badges. The Football Academy is open to both boys and girls. Students enrolled in the Football Academy also access our full academic subject offer enabling us to stretch them both physically and mentally.
Students receive careers support and investigate potential career opportunities within the sport and leisure industry. Previous students have progressed onto university, employment and apprenticeships within the leisure industry.
